Practice Description:

  • Conflict Resolution: workplace mediation and facilitated dialogue, student focused peer mediation and restorative discipline, non-violent communication trainings and coaching, positive adolescent behavior coaching.
  • Behavior Coaching: goal setting, motivation, anxiety, substance use disorder, social skills and communication
    • Contextual Behavior Science (CBS), Executive Function skill building, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
  • Violence Prevention in Schools: Bullying prevention, culturally responsive and trauma informed teaching and behavior approaches, and data driven decision making.
  • Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) and implementation of evidence-based Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)

Approach to Practice / Form of Mediation: Interest-based approach to mediation, collaborative goal setting and creation of measurable outcomes. Human Resources focus on Organizational Behavior Management (OBM) and behavior analytic approaches to employee relations.

Background: Over fifteen years working with youth focused organizations and schools as an educator, specialist, coordinator, professional development leader, instructional coach, administrator, mediator and facilitator.

Education / Training:

MEd in secondary and English as a Second Language education, MS in Conflict Resolution with culturally responsive and trauma informed mediation and peace education focus, both degrees from Portland State University.

Graduate certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis from Portland State University , certified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board as a BCBA and State of Oregon as a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA).
